“A project is complete when it starts working for you, rather than you working for it.” (-Scott Allen)

Well, the curtains are done, the walls are lightened up, and now I can get down to business. I am busy planning for fall trips, and it will be great to have a room that’s organized and sunny so that when I’m cooped up here, I can accomplish "great things. "

Thanks for bearing with me while this project ran its course! I was determined to bring light into this space, and now it’s a fait accompli. Joe came home with a bright red chair for me today--it's bright, that's for sure! Cheery and it will make me think of him.

“A lot of people are afraid to say what they want. That’s why they don’t get what they want.” (-Madonna

Well, it's gorgeous and without having to lift a finger, it's been great fun to watch the new project take shape. If I were younger, I'd consider you a mentor and try to emulate your successful efforts. Suffice it to say, I'm proud to know ya!

Ahhh...a fresh, cheery work space! I love the airy curtains and especially that gorgeous red chair. Fun...thanks for letting us take a peek.

That bowl on your desk is the perfect touch.

WOW...WOW. It is beautiful. I love yellow anyway but the curtains and the new RED chair is perfect for it and cheers it up big time. Great job!!!!
Blue and white is pretty but this will cheer you up all winter long.
Thanks for sharing the progress.
Now how are you going to be able to be away from it all fall? :)

Cool red chair!! and those curtains are lovely--now you can enjoy the nice sunlight that comes in your window. It looks like a room where GREAT things will happen! Love the Madonna quote--and your wonderful painting at the top.

Sunny, bright and so appealing. Love the curtains and red chair! And now I'm looking at my office with a very critical eye...

Thanks so much for sharing the work in progress.

I love this room, Sue! I'm so glad you didn't wait to get it redone. This will be such an incentive to keep your painter's hand in while you're on the road!

Can I rent this room while yr on the road? Can I huh?
This is positively gorgeous. Can you come tell me what to do with my shambles and rubble?
Do you do consultations?
Email consults?
Gold duckets...you name it, it's yours.
What is that storage unit thing - from IKEA perhaps?
Book shelves...a dream come true..
I'm in love...sigh

Thanks, everyone. I'm pleased with how it came out.

Carol, those bins are from Target! I used some of my "stimulus" check to get them, and I think they will be well worth the investment. Then I put tags on them so I remember what's in each one. They are hiding SO much "stuff" and keeping it neatly at hand.

What a wonderful space - and I just love the watercolor of that extremely relaxed person. I wish I were that person right now.....
