"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

(-Albert Camus)

Oberlin College campus was beautiful again today, with folks basking in the sunlight on cooling grasses. It was a good day for a picnic.

Flowers are still evident in hanging baskets, but trees are starting to show signs of Fall encroaching: here in Ohio, there are red berries and leaves showing bits of rusts and yellows.

In the wee hours of the morning, in my hotel, we were awakened by a fire alarm that sent all of us outside as we were forced to evacuate the building, and the night air here in Oberlin was brisk indeed…

Some students were wearing sweaters, and scarves, signaling the onset of brisk days ahead.

I spent part of my day inside, thoroughly enjoying the beautiful art at the Allen Museum on Oberlin’s campus, where the credo is:

“The cause of art is the cause of the people.”

Yes Autumn is in air. We see signs of it here too. Love your painting. You captured the leaves and berries of that photo you posted very nicely.
I Hope your plane trip today is without incident. :))
Look forward to more photos of this trip. It's been a very interesting trip so far. Especially the fire drill in the middle of the night. lol
Tell me what did you take with you when you left the room? I remember a very real fire scare we had a few years ago. I grabbed some shoes to take. a nice pair of black shoes. Of course later I noticed that one shoe had a high heal and the other one a flat one, but I did get a left and right shoe. lol

A fire alarm in the middle of the night! Sue! What next?! At least you were able to enjoy some beautiful art. And the weather has decided to behave.

Lovely photo's and your sketchy leaves. I have to agree, here in Washington, fall is also in the air. Today our expected temperature is only to reach 70. That plus the fall nip in the air makes your realize that the year is passing fast. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Cris, I was so groggy I only grabbed a bathrobe and my room key--I kept thinking I wished I'd grabbed my camera!! Real practical, eh?! Not my laptop, my camera!

Yes, it's been an interesting trip...let's hope the rest of the time is quiet.
