Rain and
Yesterday, I browsed around the Public Market at
It’s always a fun spot, with the fishmongers throwing fish,
The flower stalls bursting forth with color and scent,
The interesting characters,
And street musicians,
And the mounds of fresh produce in colors of the rainbow…
It’s a beautiful city, full of life and I always love visiting. Rain did come, but not ‘til after I got a chance to see it all for a while…

What lovely photos. My Dad used to go to visit Seattle and loved it. He always managed to get there on dry days too. Thanks for sharing these. Seattle has a lot to offer.
Where do you go from here?
oh.. forgot.. another great painting too.
Lovley painting and quotes Sue, my friend really loves Seattle because of all the things you have captured here and of course I am used to the rain, I am a Londoner.
I enjoyed Portland Oregon too. Kathy.
Seattle is one of the few western cities I've actually visited and loved it! The view from the plane flying in was marvelous. Looks like you are enjoying your visit, too. :^)
Merci for sharing these marvelous images of Seattle.
Pikes Place is one of my fave US Markets....I so envy you being there, but thrilledyou share so much with us, that is so good of you. Makes it easier to be stuck at home with a bad back...lol...
I adore the watercolor you did of the market entrance...Stunning, cher Sue.
Although we are aprox. 50 miles away from Seattle (as the crow flys) we only visit occasionally. A trip to the market, always a treat, or to a Mariners game. Today turned out beautiful with nice fall sunshine to warm us. Welcome once again to Washington.
Great job on the market sign. A wonderful land mark.
Thank you for sharing your city stroll, I enjoyed it immensely!
I looked at the pictures intensely and imagined if I could find similar scenes in Vienna. I think I could! Maybe one day we should do a post together and let our visitors guess where the photos were taken. ;-)
I love your painting, the subtle grays and blues, that touch of red!
OH YUM
I wish I could accompany you on that grazing/browsing stroll...
Looks like great fun
BIG MERCI for sharing :)
Sometimes the world's small:
A young, and very talented pastry-chef-to-be recently visited Spike Market Place, here are the pictures.
(I met her while she was working at Demel's on an internship last fall).
I love this post! Great paintings too! I"ll be back
Ahhhh Seattle is so fine! And your painting and photos depict it so well!
Pike Street Market is a place of character(s. I really like your painting
Thanks, everyone!
Merisi, that would be interesting! You're such a good photographer, though--I think they'd figure it out!! ;))
