"Who is sitting in that empty chair?" (-Eugene Ormandy)

And in a chair well-known

My mother sat and did not tire

With reading all alone.

If I should make the slightest sound

To show that I’m awake,

She’d rise, and lap the blankets round,

My pillow softly shake;

Kiss me and turn my face to see

The shadows on the wall,

And then sing Rousseau’s Dream to me

Til fast asleep I fall.

(-William Allingham)

Thank you all so much!
Does anyone know how to change the blogger title font size? Suddenly today, mine is enormous, "all on its own!" I don't seem to be able to figure out how to change it. Ah, computers! Thanks, all! If anyone knows and can instruct me as to how to do so, I'd be eternally grateful!

Lovely painting and poem. How did I miss this. It was posted hours ago.
Try going into settings for the font sizing.

Sue, Go to Dashboard then click on layout. then click on FONTS AND COLOR at the top to the top left is a little box, scroll down from color to fonts. I think thats where you change them. I hope it works.

Sue, What a beautiful watercolor!

Thanks, Cris and Carol.

Cris, I tried that. No luck. I tried going into my template's HTML and changing font size there, which is what I think it needs, but it still isn't changing the size on the blog. Who knows. And I have no clue why it happened in the first place. Ah, computers! ;))

Lovely scene--I always enjoy your interiors. The yellow on the wall is a beautiful shade!
BTW, love the photos of your irises in the sidebar!!
Some aspects of Blogger are baffling ... I can't figure out how to get the painting in my banner to fill the space, or why I have so many broken links! :-(

Oh Sue that is such a wonderful painting, the cushion on the chair looks all plumped up and soft, ready to sit on. You should have an exhibition.

The poem is so sweet, it really made me smile. A lovely post. PS. I'm so glad it's not just me that has trouble with blogger! All sorts of things happen on mine for no reason!

Thank you everyone! I appreciate it.

Ronell, I hear you--sorry--I have trouble leaving comments all the time on folks' sites. Go figure. Thanks for the sweet note.
