Yup--
It's here:
It's fall. The weather's getting cooler, and the trees are just bursting with flaming color. It's definitely my favorite time of year, for making apple pies and apple crisp. I'm heading home and plan to get right at it for the weekend, since I will be in my own kitchen!

Have a great weekend, all! Enjoy the brisk fall weather!
(Today's my younger sister Claudia's birthday! Happy Birthday, Claudia!)

I love this quote and also the watercolor of the red apple.
I just made apple clafoutis, I wonder of that counts for the pie...
Happy to see you post again, dear friend. Hope you are well...hugs...
I love everything,
the quote, the red apples and the cut apple with the Granny Smith green background!
Are you heading home for good now?
I wish you a very happy homecoming and lots of time to relax to enjoy whatever you'd love to do at home, even baking an apple pie!
Lovely paintings. Safe trip home. Enjoy cooking in your own kitchen.
It was so much fun meeting you in person on this trip. So for that I am thankful you Travel. :)
Good to hear you are heading home as last, Sue! Enjoy the fall weekend and the comforts of your own kitchen. What are you going to whip up?
Happy Birthday to Claudia!
I want to watercolor as well as you. These are beauty full.

What gorgeous watercolours these are. I want to bite into that red apple. Welcome home and have a lovely cook up weekend.
Beautifully done! Love the quote too!
Terrie, that apple clafouti sounds fabulous! Thanks for the recipe--I may have to give that a go!
Merisi, I'm heading home for the weekend and two days at Duke. Then back out on the road. But home for a few days is great!
Cris, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you! It was fun! thank you!
Willow, whatever I whip up, it will involve apples. I just have a craving for a pie or crisp or clafouti or something!!
Lynn, you are most kind. I haven't had time to paint for some time and I'm very much out of practice!
Jeanette, thank you--I miss painting, and am hoping I can get some time to do some more soon.
BT and Barbara, thank you as well--very sweet of you both!!

The colour in these is amazing. They really say apple through and through. I love the intensity and looseness in the first.
Good that you're back home for awhile. I'm sure you'll treasure it.
Sue, your colors are luscious! The quote is perfect.
I love your blog and never comment though I look forward to your daily quotation and lovely art work. I am in awe of your talent. It pleases me to know you are also a Libra. Happy birthday from a Libra who (tries to) paints with color pencils!
Jeanette, thank you--you're very kind! I am enjoying a weekend home, for sure!
Candy, thank you! I'm so out of practice.
Francoise, you're very kind to comment--thanks for letting me know you've visited! Yes, I am a Libra--I love aesthetic surroundings, now if I can only learn to paint, I'll be happy! LOL Keep at it with your colored pencils! Every time I decide to just hang it up, I tell myself to keep at it...
And I thought you were going to say,
"If you want to make an apple pie, first you have to break some eggs.."
I've been away too long and now I still have Jet Lag, so head is absent and missing.
Bonjour where ever you are Sue!
PS
You can do anything you want to you pictures on the road - just join Picnik.com

Carol, rest up! Hope you lose the jetlag. I can relate to that!
I have used picnik in flickr, but I'm not very computer savvy in my blog. Long story...anyway, thanks for the tip. (flickr no longer lets me save the image I've edited to bring into my blog) very frustrating.

Great paintings of the apples and the pears! Good enough to eat!
