It's Daylight Saving Time, so I'll be jet-lagged all week. I always am.
But I admit, I'm thinking of all that glorious light that will greet me on the way home from work soon. Maybe I won't have to put my headlights on for the commute. That may just compensate for those brain-fogged mornings.
We slept in on Saturday and came downstairs to bake some Williams-Sonoma golden-fresh croissants and marmalade. Our camellias are blooming, so we have them, as well as daffodils, all over the place, in vases.
Today, the land line phone rang, and I heard Joe answer it and listen. Then, he slowly went over to a table, and quietly laid down the receiver, (still on,) and turned on the TV close by. He left the phone there for the telemarketer to listen to while we went on our merry way.
Gotta' love it. Wish I'd thought of that. (Almost makes me not care about our "do not call" status.)
Beware the ides of March...
But do go see Alice in Wonderland if you can! It's wonderful:

Oh what a lovely painting. I love the colors. Clever hubby with the phone. I am going to try that. :)
Checked out the vidio. Looks very colorful & exciting. We'll have to check out the movie. :)
Oh and I always get messed up when the time changes. but I do like the extra light.
It's been a while since I visited your blog, even though your on my blog roll, I forgot how much i love the way you paint. Lush.
Joe cracked me up!!! :)
I'm glad to hear you liked ALICE
The NYTimes panned it bien sur, but Paris can't wait for it to open on the 24th, the day I depart for home.
I just saw Ghost Writer this weekend and highly recc it-fun to see End -speaking films with subtitles I could happily correct :)
Love yr aquarelle Sue
Well, the movie's not going to win Academy Awards, but it's fun.
I'll have to try to see that, Carol! Thnx!
Lovely sketch! Really like the overlapping order (with this goofy time change at the back) to suggest what's really important.
And good for Joe - I realize the telemarketer's are doing their job. However, that doesn't make it any less annoying.
Lovely touches in your painting.
I am telling everyone about this --Too TOO funny about the Telemarketer--Go Joe!

Joe and I went to the same school so far as dealing with telemarketers goes. If they sound like decent people just doing their job, I won't be rude. Otherwise, I'll tie them up with stupid questions or, like Joe, just let them prattle on while I put the phone down. Nothing frustrates phone room management more than long calls!
Great post! LOL
I agree with Rick Tulka on Flicka- the croissant is fabulous!
We saw "Alice" the other night. It was great. I think Tim Burton is a genius.
Thanks, all. We're actually supposed to be on the "do not call list," so unless that's expired, they shouldn't really be calling us. Joe is normally quite polite, so it made me laugh to know that's evidently how he's been handling those calls.
O good heavens --- The flowers ARE FROM YOUr GARDEN!!!!! lucky YOU!
It's very rainy here - but my daffs are up about 4 inches.
Interesting way to handle a telemarketing call -- I might give it a try.
Can't wait to see Alice.
Love your beautiful sketch!!!!
I love the colors in your painting--especially the yellows, so fresh!
I had no idea it was Daylight Savings--luckily I didn't have to be anywhere; the increasing light at the end of the day is a boon!
Greetings,
I wish they did away with daylight saving time and i would prefer celebrating New Year not January 1, rather the first day of spring. How about you?
warmest regards,
Egmont
I agree with Egmont --all of it. Out on our farm-ranches, the cows, horses and chickens ignored the time changes and insisted on keeping to Standard Time. all our lives.

Thanks so much for visiting, everyone, and for your kind comments.
