Another Sketchbook Project page. This project has been great fun. Even when my sketches have been lousy, it's still really good practice, and it's kind of pushing me to get on with it. I do think if I were to do this project again, I might just switch out the paper and use real watercolor paper, which is going to be such a treat to get back to when this is done.
Only a few more days of being home. I will hit the road next Tuesday, so I guess I need to do as many of these sketches as I can while I have time. I don't have to mail it back in until January, so I'll certainly get it done by then. I have about 10-12 more page spreads to go.

I can tell by the fantastic painting of the fantastic earrings that you are one fantastic woman! I congratulate you on sticking it out and following through! I just signed up for my "artistic license" which requires me to draw in ink pen only a drawing a day for 75 days. I really miss my eraser....
I had to enlarge this to see if those earrings were real or painted. Wow. I was wondering. do they put in the words you circle or do you write them in? Its a bit of glitz..Are they trying to get you to do something to match the words up? Wow.. so soon you will be on the road again. Where has the year gone?
I can't believe it's that time of the year again!
"The year is ripe" - so are those earrings, Sue,
the look rip for the picking. I would wear them in an instant, infact, I am reaching for them. Oh, wait, ......
YIKES they look like a photo!!!
I'm taking my watercolors to the pool!
Tanks for the bonne idee
Thanks, all! The words are mine, Cris--the Sketchbook Project gives you themes to select, and the one I selected was "This is not a sketchbook." I had no idea what I was going to do with that concept, but it just sort of evolved. I already have an idea with how I'll ultimately end it...it's fun.
Jeanette, that sounds like it will be very freeing to do--good for you!
Merisi, I can't believe it either!
Carol, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Sue, I love the quote. My husband almost always gives me gold earrings, so I guess that's good.
But I love THESE earrings.
I feel the same about the paper in TSP Moleskines ... but twas a good exercise in stretching boundaries.
Thanks, Donna! I'm not sure what the quote means--I like all kinds of earrings! Stretching boundaries is so right!
