"Later on, we'll conspire, as we dream by the fire..." (-Felix Bernard)

Things to do in front of a warm fireplace:

Cozy up with a good book...

sip a hot toddy...

read the New York Times...

pop popcorn...

sketch/paint...

make s'mores...

listen to tunes...

roast chestnuts...

play Scrabble...

watch movies...

do jig-saw puzzles...

curl up in blankets...

snooooooooooze....

Lovely painting of a beautiful fireplace!

A video fireplace, who'd have thunk, thank you!
Fireplace-deprived greetings
(to think in our home in DC we had three),

Lovely painting. Is this in your sketch book? How is that coming along? We have a wood burning stove so nothing to see burning but it sure is nice too.

Cris, it isn't my sketchbook--just a sheet of yupo. I need to finish up the sketchbook--I have about 10 pages left but I'll get it done.

Where else can you read a blog AND by the fireplace, too! Lovely painting - I hope that gorgeous fireplace is yours!

Such a beautiful fireplace painting and such great ideas for a cold evening.

A very elegant painting of the fireplace and a cozy fire burning here. I have two built in wood stoves and adore them for their special heat. The mess - not so much. :)

Thanks, Jeanette, Maria and Jeanette!

Jeanette, I used to heat my place in VA with a wood stove that I loved--it was SOOO toasty.
