I'm practicing daffodils again. I tried to just think of suggesting shapes, and not worrying too much about all the intracacies of these flowers. My scan didn't pick up some of the nuances of the glass/water I painted, and the stems wound up looking a bit "choppy" here: scans aren't always accurate, but I'll get there just the same... all in good time.
I'm hoping to do some more sketching this weekend. I have lots of outdoor work in the yard I'd like to tackle as well, and I want to go for a long walk, to enjoy all the signs of spring here in NC. We have warm, spring-like temps here that I'm going to soak up tomorrow.
And after all, it is March Madness, so while I'm sketching, I'm sure we'll have the games on. Joe's addicted.
Have a great weekend, all!

They sure look lovely to me. They look fresh! The glass looks great too. Better to see less than too much of one.
Well this looks lovely inspite of your scanner. Have you tried photographing them? I notice my scanner omits bits of drawings too. Your weekend sounds lovely. We are looking at more rain. glub glub. So enjoy your weekend for us will you? :))
Lovely work - I wish the scanners could pick up more of the subtleties!
Cette aquarelle est absolument parfaite ! Les jonquilles semblent transparentes et toutes fraîchement cueillies ... j'adore !
Bon week-end !
So gorgeous, I love your style!
I'm loving your Daffs Sue.
It's hard to get the stems and buds right but you did with ease.
Spring is not very present in Paris but nevermind :)

love your daffodils and the stems are not choppy. we also have march madness on in our house, too!
brilliant sue ! love them
I have fallen behind with all things blog-related lately but wanted to find this post of yours and finally comment that this is wonderful--I'm glad you're trying Daffodils again. :) I love them so much.
I will have to check your shop to see if these are cards. You could probably make a small fortune with an Easter or spring garden line. :)
Love,
Val
