"One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years" (--Thomas Wolfe)

I'm here at LaGuardia waiting on my flight home.

It's "So long" to the Big Apple again, which makes me sad.  I get very nostalgic when I visit the city these days...to cheer me up, my cab had one of those little video screens in the back seat, and here's what I watched.  Have you seen this?  It's hilarious.  I'd seen it before, but it makes me crack up every single time.

And Tom Hanks always reminds me of my brother Eddie...I could totally see Eddie doing this.
Enjoy!

(I promise, I'll get sketching again once I'm home)

That video is hilarious. I'll have to take advantage of living in Las Vegas and sign my granddaughter up for next year's pageant:)

So funny! They put lot into that video! Do you think the staged the pageant too or asked if they could film there!? Those people take that so seriously. My favorite part is when he's outside teaching her to walk & twirl! hilarious!

Glad you enjoyed it, people! It just makes me laugh every time I see it.

Lucinda, I don't know if they staged it--I guess I assumed they did, as opposed to asking folks if they could come in to a real pageant.

Too funny.
