in time of daffodils (--ee cummings)

In time of daffodils (who know
the goal of living is to grow)
forgetting why, remember how

in time of lilacs who proclaim
the aim of waking is to dream,
remember so (forgetting seem)

in time of roses (who amaze
our now and here with paradise)
forgetting if, remember yes

in time of all sweet things beyond
whatever mind may comprehend,
remember seek (forgetting find)

and in a mystery to be
(when time from time shall set us free)
forgetting me, remember me

(--ee cummings)

(first go-round with daffodil attempts)

Sue, Glad you liked the Populonia blog. Lots of travel writers say there is nothing left to "discover" in Tuscany. How wrong they are. I love the ee cummings poem and the beautiful sketch. Happy spring.

I love the transparent, almost glass-like quality of your daffodils, Sue. Wonderful.

Thank you all very much. You're so generous and encouraging me to keep at it. As soon as I get some free time, I'll be practicing more of these daffodils! Before you know it, azaleas will be out so I have to get ready for that, too!
