"You will see, in the future I will live by my watercolors." (--Winslow Homer)

We woke up to  much brisker temps today, and the skies are gray, but I, for one, am glad we're not heading from winter straight into summer.  That'll come soon enough for me.  It's a good day for doing the wash, wearing a big old sweatshirt, puttering in the yard for a while, and...I don't know...baking cookies, maybe?

Our tulips are coming up all around the yard, thanks to one of our students, Noah, who told me back in the fall about a good place online to order bulbs!  They're always sold out locally when I'm on the road in the fall, and not able to head to stores.   I thought of him this morning when I headed out and saw all our pretty spring color.  I guess I should tell him that, eh?

I'm hoping to do some painting if I can, in the mix.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

So lovely! I seldom plant tulips because they just don't come back around here. In Michigan, where I grew up, they thrived and multiplied!

These are really the most luscious tulips I've ever seen! Your photo is like a Flemish still life.
Squirrels eat the heads off my tulips, but leave my daffodils alone.
